LIFE Hats
Most magazines are read, enjoyed and eventually end up in the loft, garage or under a wonky table.
LIFE was different.
For generations, LIFE brought the world into people’s homes through photography. It captured history as it happened, documenting everything from world changing events to every day moments that became timeless.
Hats have been worn for centuries; they were part of everyday dress. They told the world who you were.
Now we have launched LIFE hats, where we have taken inspiration not just from the magazine itself but from the world behind it and those who helped turn fleeting moments into lasting memories.
How Photojournalism Changed the World
Long before smartphones, algorithms and people taking photos of their lunch, there was photojournalism.
Celebrations, distant wars, and world events didn’t feel distant anymore. LIFE brought the world to people’s living rooms, one photograph at a time; a single image cutting through politics, language and opinion faster than pages of reporting news ever could.
LIFE photographers became household names, the likes of Margaret Bourke-White, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Gordon Parks and Eugene Smith who didn’t just capture moments, they helped shape the way entire generations would remember time.

All our LIFE caps are made of recycled, sustainable and environmentally responsible materials as we endeavour to preserve life for the generations to come.
We have named our caps in tribute to the world of publishing and photojournalism. As you browse through our collection, you will see the inspiration behind the colours and the stories they have evoked.
